Nature Walk General Meeting

Join us for an evening nature walk at Franklin Canyon!

Friday, Aug. 18 at 6:45 p.m.

Join fellow VHOC members for a leisurely stroll along the tree-lined trails of Franklin Canyon. Unwind from the week as we enjoy the sights and sounds (and for the dogs, smells!) of nature, and practice some skills along the way.

Along the way, we'll see the lake and a lovely turtle pond!

We'll meet in the gravel parking lot for the William O. Douglas Outdoor Classroom and Sooky Goldman Nature Center.

The address is 2600 Franklin Canyon Dr., Beverly Hills.

From the Valley: Go south on Coldwater Canyon. Wind up the hill to Mulholland. Turn right at Mulholland (a signal - Tree People will be on your left). As you turn right, you'll cross over Mulholland, onto Franklin Canyon Dr., into a residential neighborhood. A "hard right" will put you going north on Mulholland - don't do that! Wind down into the canyon and turn left at the Sooky Goldman Nature Center sign.

The park closes at 8 p.m., so please arrive in time to depart right at 6:45 p.m. We will walk for about an hour. This is a mostly flat, leisurely walk, not a strenuous hike. Please wear appropriate shoes - be mindful of loose gravel.

NO FLEXI/RETRACTABLE LEASHES. Bring training treats, poop baggies and water/bowl for your dog.
