Trick Dog General Meeting
Join us for an evening of AKC Trick Dog Testing!
When/Where: Friday, May 19, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Canoga Park Lutheran Church.
Tricks are fun to train, and a great way to show off your dog's skills! Now, they can even build your dog's resume with the recently launched AKC Trick Dog Titling Program!
To test for a title, familiarize yourself with the requirements, and print the appropriate checklist, highlighting which tricks you'll be performing. (One level per dog, please.) Be sure to bring any necessary props (we will have tunnels and jumps available). Don't forget your checklist! We can't validate your performance without it!
Club members Lindia Brown, Stephanie Colman and Katie McGuire will simultaneously conduct testing to reduce wait-time.
Testing is free for members. AKC charges a processing fee of $20 per title.
Members not wishing to test for a title are welcome to use available Club space for training. If time allows, we'll set up a simple jump/tunnel sequence for some quick agility fun.
Potluck appetizers and desserts welcomed!
SPACE IS LIMITED! RSVP by May 17 to chills37@aol.com. If testing for a Trick Dog title, be sure to indicate how many dogs you'd like evaluated. Handlers with multiple dogs will have individual dogs evaluated between other teams, not consecutively.
